Sin Cakes clay sculptures

Image
A few weeks ago after recording our third episode of Whatevski , Kamila & I got bored and molded some air-dry clay my sister got me last month. Initially I was gonna use it to make faux-enamel pins but turns out we can't bake air-dry clay in the oven. It dries on its own, so... we made sculptures instead. Then we painted them with poster & acrylic paints. Kamila worked on the base coats first before derping around again, and after sometime later I worked on the minor details & colors. We couldn't get Pride Cake's colors right so its texture turned out messy af. Much much later, I added their faces with a marker pen. Wrath & Gluttony cakes have bits that need to be glued in (the bits were scattered everywhere and always made a mess). I kinda used my sister's yellow nail polish to glue Wrath Cake's flames (which dont look like flames at all) and normal glue to glue Gluttony Cake's deco. And the...

Mini boxes and milk cartons

The print shop downstairs had name card samples, invitation samples and hat samples already but they didn't have gift box samples at the time so since I was bored, I wanted to make them cute little boxes as samples, and to make people want to print out their own boxes too. Templates are downloadable from Bellesprintables X | X The first one was a box with Cangkir in it. It's supposed to be a cough syrup flavored tea box (because I still like cough syrup tea) called PsychoTEAque because of reasons. Likaura said the stuff that came out of Cangkir looks like magical unicorn hair heheh And then I decided Im gonna make a milk carton. And since I like chocolate and mint combined so much, I made Mint Choc Chugs The first time printing it it came out all blue cuz the printer was faulty. But then after sometime it got fixed and it's looking BAMF SON Thats right, you've just been AWSM'D. I also made an SPS milk carton to honor the print shop. Strawberry b...

Once again revamping my book

Image
Previously I stated that I made a sketchbook out of Desaria bus cards just for the sake of recycling... and after quite sometime the cover's getting torn apart (especially the plastic covering) Since I've got plenty of newspapers around I thought I might use just one sheet to protect my book from dust, but still that attempt failed so hard. The cover looks okay though, I just painted the pages with black poster paint. Yep, the cover's deliberately made like that as a homage to Austin Kleon's book Newspaper Blackout just because I'm looking for that book. Oh wait actually I'm looking for his other book Steal Like An Artist. Of course, not THAT similar. Deliberately. But it's a first try

Going D-I-Y & reusing unused materials.

I remember I used to have a fluffy pink diary book during grade school, & my friend had the same one & one day she tied a piece of string to the book's binder & carried it around like a handbag & I did the same... (one of the incidents that I got the nickname 'copycat' in school) And I've made plenty of notebooks too. Only that time I didn't know how to properly use a stapler & the paper I used were just some crumpled ones thrown inside the trash can. Now I've lost every single one of them & they might be thrown away a long time ago since they look basically like pieces of wasted trash anyway. A few years later in college, I got back to gathering scrap paper around (only good quality ones this time, hey, it's an art university & there's wasted paper everywhere in the uni's print shop & art studios) & made a sketchbook so that I don't have to buy new ones & save money. Pretty spiffy. And it...
