Animation: Seafruit

Image
I was gonna do an experimental animation one day, using Toon Boom Studio & After Effects. After I watched the animated music video for Secret by Luka Megurine (which I guess was animated using Anime Studio or some sort) I felt like doing something like that too, but using the softwares I know, even if it means combining all of them. Unfortunately I was loaded with university assignments & projects that time so this experiment had to back away for a bit. And after I got done with a few other animations, I finally had time to do this one. The character up there is one of my characters Seattle. I picked her cuz she's awesomely bluegreen & seemingly had to do something with anything aqua, the sea, Fall Out Boy & Owl City. And suddenly I remembered a seafruit, some kind of fruit I made up in one of my stories. With that added in with Seattle and this experimental project, and a slight reference to those two bands, this could be a music video. Sadly the instruments...

Animation: Listerine-flavored Oreo commercial

Image
An animated version of this comic, which is a parody of an Indonesian Oreo commercial. Featuring my cousin & sister. Animated it because it's supposed to be a commercial. [I posted more about it in my revamp blog  ...go & read it] p.s. Best. Panel. EVER.

Anatomy of my Childhood Comics

Yes, that's what they actually look like. Except sometimes they contain different stories along the same monotonous plotline. But the upside is that crumpled paper pieces aren't much wasted anymore. And yes I still kept most of them until now.

Swimming in cherry cola

Image
A random gift art for Myoo89  and challenging myself to draw an underwater scene, practicing with shadows & lightings & all. It's still pretty decent, though not perfect. Swimming in a sea of cherry cola with coke bottles & cherry rocks on the sandy seabed would really be something.

Checkers collection

For no reason, I drew this last year & digitized it. Maybe I was in a mood to draw clothes but whatever. The second coloring style was supposed to be watercolor-ish, cuz initially I was gonna do this picture traditionally with pen & watercolors and then scan it. But digitally this doesn't look bad, maybe better. Hopefully that looks watercolor-ish enough.

Omg it's so adorabOWL

An old notebook drawing, digitized. The feathers omg the fluffy feathers. Shut up, owl. YOU'RE so pretty & I wanna touch YOU!

My very first comic EVER!

Once again digging through my collection of old artworks (not-so-narcissistically) and found this old gem. It's back when I was 7 & started doing comics for the first time. The comic's titled "Little Green Fairies" and it was completely in Indonesian, cuz I don't speak English much at that age. But no prob folks, translation will be provided. Here's the back page, actually. The character's names are based on my sister & cousin (though my cousin's actual name is Nisya. I didn't know how to spell her name right yet back then). This comic was born in January 1999. Translation: LITTLE GREEN FAIRIES by Rara in: "Having Fun" 1. One day, the Little Green Fairies are having a picnic at their grandma & grandpa's house. Nisya: Delicious! Alta: Yummy! 2. And then the two walked back home. How joyful. Nisya: Let's go home Alta: Oh, how fun. 3. While they were having fun, they were making milk,...
