This year I tried doing a themed Inktober, like using one of the prompts on IG. I kinda don't wanna use the default one, or the witchy one, so I made up my own which is a prompt based on my playlist. Well just the recent songs I listened to.

This was done last December after I flew from Brunei to Jakarta for the final time. Suddenly had the itch or inspiration to do one of these doodle thingies again after finding my old sketchbook

Last year I got a new sketchbook cuz my old one was running out of paper due to Inktober. During my trip to China I decided to bring it along for whenever I got inspired & had to sketch something. Turns out I was inspired, but didn't feel like drawing anything and for 9 days, these were the only thing I drew. [ X ] I feel pathetic. Only recently after being back in Brunei I started drawing on it again & so far came up with just two. Here's where the idea came from . They're Adam's Apples, a parody of Charlie's Angels. Was kinda high when we chat & Tina craved some apple slushy from 7Eleven. This past month, since I've heard about Inktober, I've been busy doodling on paper and making use of my sketchbooks and some colored pens my siblings use for art purposes I found lying in the house everywhere. And that's supposed to be a good thing somewhat. That's all I got for this month... of course I could've done more but I started 2 days late. View separate inktober doodles here [ Soup ][ Tumblr ]

Once again, a comic featuring my friends (even more of them this time) and another reason to waste my color pencils and some blue ink (which I managed, cuz I had to buy another blue ink cartridge for my pen halfway while doing this comic). I wanted to do a different story & concept this time, and seeing that my previous comics this year have certain color schemes with minimalized color palette, I wanted to fit several color schemes into one comic, and since that requires changes, the running gag would be the characters noticing the color change and constantly breaking the fourth wall, realizing that they're inside a comic. The inspiration that triggered this was Cookie Cat ice cream sandwich from Steven Universe [Episode 1: Gem Glow] buuuut the story for my comic turned out totally different instead. Plus I love ice-cream sandwiches and mint candies… also apples.

Once in a while I felt like doing comics like these again, about myself flying a tad bit closer to the sun each time. And I miss those days of drawing comics traditionally, on paper and mixed media, with black frames. Sadly I haven't got sharpies or copic markers with me so I only used watercolor pencils for this occasion. Yes, the idea of these mint wings were taken from the Adventure Time episode  Blade of Grass , where Finn gets a new grass sword which at first tried to possess his arm and ended up being a part of him right after he's learnt to accept the sword. Or rather I was inspired by the episode, or the sword itself, since this comic's storyline is rather different. Featuring my two friends Likaura & Myoo89  (a.k.a. Amel/Kamila & Tina) And might I add that  I was listening to Breathe Owl Breathe's "Own Stunts" during coloring the last scene and it suits the scene quite perfectly.
