BFFL book cover designs

Image
Back. With more notebook designs (just like how I made notebook cover designs too precisely last year ). I'm still inspired by Scoop and all the notebook covers they sold in that store, so this time I'm trying to draw my characters from BFFL in a different style. This oughtta be fun. First, the lineart. And then I colored the patterns first with watercolor just to test out if the patterns would look nice as how I planned. I wanted to create that effect which makes it look like the drawings are cut-outs from different pieces of paper pasted on pre-painted surfaces. I love the texture but too bad I don’t have a scanner right now, so the writings look unclear.   And finally, I took back the lineart pieces and colored them digitally based on the watercolored ones. The result? Not bad. I   also fixed the writings (and a bit of the lineart) and made them pop. Although I still wished I put textures on the patterns but this is good enough. But this time, the chara...

Watercolor live performances

It started out in 2012, remembering I used to sing a duet with Myoo89  and that time we sang Paramore's "My Heart". I remembered how emotional our voices went (at least I think of it that way) and so I drew both of us and our whole gang as a band, performing this song. That being said, the other reasons why I drew this comic was because I wanted to waste some blue pen ink, and because I've always ALWAYS wanted to be in a band ever since I was 14.   Song: "My Heart" - Paramore A year later I kinda missed doing these. At the same time, because my tablet broke I moved on to doing some traditional art to still occupy my creative side. I tried out different color schemes as well as different songs that I like. Think of it as our "band" doing "covers" of these songs with different stage lights and decors, creating different feels and energy levels.   Song: "Young Volcanoes" - Fall Out Boy I started this one up here wh...

Wasting the unused

Image
I don't know how I ended up with so many traditional art supplies ever since I get to college. All I know is I'll only end up doing mostly digital art anyway. But currently, since I'm graduating & moving away soon, I thought I'd use some of these unused little babies for old time's sake. Just to lessen the baggage space. It started like this And then it became like this. Maybe it was because one time I saw someone's handbag in the prayer room & it's black with colorful meduim-sized polkadots of these hues & between. So voila. Another one. I felt like wasting the yellow & orange watercolor pencils & yellow paint just cuz I hardly ever use them. And then in contrary to the previous one, I felt like sticking bits of different paper materials instead of drawing on it with oil pastels. The result: PIZZA.
